The experience has helped Day become a more complete and proficient driver. His starting line prowess and driving skills are sharp, accurate and consistent. His ability to ‘read a race track’ and ‘hear the engine’ gives teams he drives for a driver who will gain the maximum possible performance without damaging the cars 8,000 horse power engines due to driver error.
Day has the charisma, skill and determination to be an exceptional spokesperson for any team. His work history includes wrenching on some of the world’s top race teams such as Jack Wyatt, Gary Densham, Jerry Toliver, Del Worsham and his father-in-law Don Schumacher top-flight Racing team. Day has worked in merchandising, marketing, public relations and sponsorship hospitality with some of the biggest teams in drag racing. He is an exceptional public speaker with the charisma and charm to represent any professional organization.
Married to his lovely wife Samantha, James enjoys cruising around in his 1950 Chevy down the Orange County, Calif. coast line, playing with his dog and riding motorcycles and ATV’s in the desert.
